Porsche Centre Silverstone was delighted to send three team members to the Daventry Volunteer Centre for the day, to help with one of their projects that reaches out to older people in the Daventry area. Daventry has been identified as a town with one of the highest rates of loneliness within the older community; the Volunteer Centre aims to remedy this by bringing people together.
New Street Café organises social activities and home-cooked meals, providing an opportunity for the elderly to socialise and make new friends. Each month they host a home-cooked lunch for between 30 and 40 people and, this month, Rita, Milly and Emma went to help serve the lunch. They even stayed to help wash up and polish the cutlery afterwards.
The team had a great time getting to know the Daventry residents and helping the friendly staff at the café. They are hoping to help out again in the not-too-distant future. Please contact the team on 01327 438 035 or info@porschesilverstone.co.uk for information about any of the charities Porsche Centre Silverstone supports.

*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
